- Shimano EP8 Chain guide Compatibility: The Ochain•E for Shimano EP8 is not compatible with the original Shimano chain guide. It is exclusively compatible with the Ochain chain guide "Black Sheep."

- Compatibility Note / Cranks: Ochain can not guarantee the compatibility with all the cranks on the market. Furthermore, is NOT compatible with Ochain cranks.

I love my Ochain, but their customer support is horrible.
I took my Ochain off my E-bike with an EP8 motor to clean it after 2 months of riding. When I reinstalled it, I tried applying the recommended 40 nM of torque to the lock ring, but the threads slipped and were damaged.
When I contacted Ochain about a replacement, they never answered my questions, including one about a warranty issue, they never asked for further information about what happened, and they took roughly 6 days to respond to any email/question I had.
In the end, it took 3 weeks to get them to send a replacement lock ring, which required wiring money from the US to Italy. They really need to add all of the small replacement parts to their website or BTI so customers or shops can order the parts directly if they’re going to have such slow and terrible customer service.
Love how my Ochain improves my rides, but this was the worst customer service I’ve had from a bike company.
The supplier nuts are not long enough to locate the chainring per the install instructions. Per the install you are supposed to install the chainring on the outside with the laser marking on the inside. The nuts do not locate in the chainring and cause the chainring to not be centered radially. My reviews keep getting deleted, this product is being marketed as you need their chainring and nuts but it’s not truly compatible.
The Shimano version says you need to install the chainring on the external side of the ochain and ochain says you need to use their nuts. However their nuts are not long enough. They cut a corner to make it work for Shimano and it shows. Company continues to say their nuts work but are in fact not long enough.
Chainring nuts included with the chainring are not long enough. Website says nothing about needing different nuts.
